Turkey’s rich history, colorful culture, picturesque landscapes, and exciting adventure activities would surely tempt any traveler. However, regardless if you’re going for business or pleasure, you will need to apply for a visa.
The country changed its regulations in receiving travelers in April 2013 by introducing the e-visa, a digital visa that has been made available for 97 nations. With this updated digital travel document, you will be able to enter Turkey as a tourist or business traveler.
There are two reasons why getting an e-visa is encouraged by the Turkish government. First of all, it offers much convenience for their guests. The entire application process is simple, fast, and automated. Second, an e-visa allows Turkey to accurately keep track of its foreign visitors through data analytics and related technologies.
Those who are traveling to this nation and not citizens of visa-exempt countries will need a visa to enter Turkey. Even younger children won’t be allowed entry if they don’t have their own Turkey visa.
There are two types of visa you can apply for: an electronic visa (or e-visa) and a conventional visa. Tourists and business travelers can conveniently apply for an e-visa. Meanwhile, people who are planning to work or study in Turkey must obtain a conventional visa instead.

Travelers from these countries should apply for a Turkey Electronic Travel Authorization (or eTA) instead. Also, those who did not find their country listed are advised to contact a Turkey consular office directly for further assistance.
There are several available methods to apply for an e visa Turkey online. Note that the application processes may vary depending on the agency you’re working with and the country you’re from. In general, however, here are the basic steps:
Step 1: Complete a Turkish visa online visa application form available on our site.
Step 2: Pay the Turkey E Visa fee and other related processing costs.
Step 3: Once approved, you will then receive your digital visa via email.
You can apply directly at the airport depending on your travel documents and country of origin. Better yet, work with us at www.evisa-turkey.biz.tr.
Here are some key facts to keep in mind when applying for a Turkish e visa:
Not all travelers who enter Turkey need a visa. Here are a few exceptions:
An Evisa Turkey Gov is valid for 180 days with a maximum length of stay of 90 days. The validity period will immediately begin upon your indicated date of arrival in Turkey. This is stated in the Turkish visa online application form.
You can then start enjoying the 90-day duration of your E Visa Turkey Gov after the validity period kicks in. You can spend this time on a single trip or on multiple trips, depending on your country of origin and specifically indicated travel details.
What if you don’t know your exact date of arrival? We recommend indicating the earliest date you can possibly arrive. Arriving at a later date won’t be an issue, as it will still be within your validity period. On the other hand, arriving earlier than your indicated arrival date can keep you from entering the country since your visa is not valid yet.
Here’s a useful tip: Give yourself a couple of days of leeway before your expected date of arrival. Suppose you plan on arriving in Turkey on August 6. It would be wise to state your expected date of arrival as August 3 or 4 instead. This gives your visa validity some breathing room should your trip be expedited for whatever reason.
You will find this information indicated on the right-hand side of your e-visa. It should also indicate the number of re-entries you’re allowed to make, the start of its validity period, the end of its validity period, and the allowed duration of stay.
There are special cases that can cause your visa’s validity to expire earlier than expected. For instance, travelers whose passports will expire within the validity period of their visa can affect its length of validity.
Keep in mind that some countries allow you to travel with just a valid ID, travelers who used a passport during their application will need to refer to the validity of their passport. You can’t switch to a valid ID after your passport has expired if you didn’t use it initially as your supporting document.
Travelers who need to stay in Turkey for more than 90 days should apply for a residence permit. The application process will vary depending on your country of origin.
We strongly advise travelers to adhere to their EVisa Turkey Gov and permit stipulations to prevent getting fined, deported, or banned from returning to Turkey in the future. This country is very strict when it comes to its travelers’ length of stay.
